ULYANOVSK, October 31. (TASS). State testing of the UAZ-469 all-terrain vehicle has been successfully completed. The prototypes traveled 45,000 kilometers across the rough terrain, steppes, and sands of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, as well as the Pamir passes. They demonstrated excellent performance.
Compared to the GAZ-69, the new model offers improved cross-country capability and improved driver and passenger comfort. Engine power has been increased by 25 horsepower. The UAZ-469’s payload capacity is 100 kilograms greater, and its specific fuel consumption has been significantly reduced.
