XCARTOYS (also known as XCarToys or 拓意) has become one of the most interesting Chinese diecast manufacturers in the 1:64 scale market. Founded in 2018, the company quickly established itself by focusing on subjects that matter to Chinese collectors while steadily expanding into international models and special editions.
Company History
XCARTOYS was created with a clear mission: to document and celebrate Chinese automotive culture through high-quality miniature models. While many global brands concentrated on European classics or Japanese icons, XCARTOYS began by modelling vehicles that Chinese drivers and collectors actually see on their roads — cars like the FAW-Volkswagen Jetta, Hyundai Elantra, Citroën FuKang, and various taxis, police cars, and commercial vehicles.
The company’s design centre is based in Beijing, with production taking place elsewhere in China. In a relatively short time, XCARTOYS built a reputation for solid construction, good paint finishes, metal bodies and bases on many models, and strong value for money. Western collectors first became familiar with the brand through its close relationship with Pop Race. Many Pop Race models are produced by or in partnership with XCARTOYS, creating a complementary range: XCARTOYS focuses more on the Chinese domestic market, while Pop Race targets international collectors with modified and performance-oriented subjects.
Over the years the brand has expanded beyond passenger cars into trucks, buses, military vehicles, figures, and diorama accessories. It continues to release both everyday Chinese models and more exclusive or unusual subjects.

One particularly notable model is the Aurus Senat. XCARTOYS released a 1:64 scale version of the Russian presidential limousine (model code X12-1 / X12-01), primarily in black. This casting captures the distinctive long-wheelbase luxury sedan used by the Russian head of state and stands out as one of the more unusual subjects in the brand’s catalogue. It has been available through specialty retailers and online platforms since around late 2024.
